The Arc NLC’s Employment Transition Center (ETC), located in Groton, Connecticut, provides employment services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities age 16 and older. Our supports and resources help people walk through their journey to employment--from high school to landing the perfect dream job. Whether it’s basic computer knowledge and skills, the employment application process, resume writing, interviews, job training, or support on the job, ETC is here to help. We focus on the career dreams of the people we serve.
Featuring a state-of-the art commercial kitchen, computer lab, life-skills room, and resource library, The Arc’s Employment Transition Center is designed to enhance the employment skills of the people we serve. Adults and high school students throughout Southeastern Connecticut benefit from a wide range of programming, employment training, life skills groups, and employment placement services—all tailored to address the needs and goals of each person we serve.

The Arc NLC also actively recruits new community business partners to offer our participants the widest possible choice of employment options. We encourage area businesses to learn more about how hiring someone with I/DD could be the best decision they’ll ever make.
